The Queens Arts in the Schools Grant

A grant funded and supported by the Local Capacity Building Initiative of the
Arts in Education program at the New York State Council on the Arts

PS 51, Richmond Hill Queens and Music for Many, Inc.

      2011 marks the second consecutive year that this program has been funded.  Students
      will become familiar with dances and dance styles of various cultures and time periods.
      Each particular dance will be viewed from its historical, social, and cultural contexts.
      Common themes and  principles connecting dance with other disciplines will be explored.
